I was looking for an Ensign article the other day. So I went online and found the old issue and then something happened. I was looking at the list of back issues; they date back to 1971. And it hit me…
You know how we always talk about how we have the Scriptures and how we also have “modern-day” scripture in the form of conference talks and words of the latter-day prophets? Well, there I was staring right at this archive of modern-day scripture, and it occurred to me that I haven’t read much of it.
So I came up with the idea of the Conference Challenge. (It is based on the notion I have after every conference that I will study the Conference issue until the next session.) Here is what I am challenging myself to do: by July 4th, 2010 to have read all of the Conference Ensigns from 1974 to today.
You can find all the old Ensigns here, or at the link on the right. There are a total of 70 issues, making for a lot of talks!
I plan on using this blog to post notes from various talks. I have toyed with the idea of posting for every talk, but have not decided. Certainly when the prophet speaks I will include those notes.
